Pasta Utensil

Tonight my sister had a homework assignment for her User-Centered Design class that required her to collaborate with someone who wasn't in her class. She picked me. We had to design a utensil or serving dish that would enable someone to eat long pasta noodles (like spaghetti or ramen) both efficiently and neatly.

I did a little doodling with my tablet using Microsoft Paint while we brainstormed. Here's the picture with no other explanation.

Krita

I downloaded some new digital art software and got so excited that I actually made something for my blog!

The software is called Krita, and it's a free alternative to Photoshop. I was so excited to find out about it since my Photoshop Elements self-destructed a while back and my other software had a few bothersome characteristics. Krita works well with my Wacom tablet, which is AWESOME.

Krita was made by artists for artists. It appears to be intended mainly for drawing rather than editing photos. It has bells and whistles that I, a casual doodler, have no idea what to do with, so I'm betting a serious digital artist could get some great use out of it.

Like I said, it's FREE! They do accept donations, but you don't have to donate. It's basically the best thing ever.

Hairy Man with a Hairy Hat

Today, for no particular reason, I doodled a man wearing a coonskin cap on a post-it.

"Shiny" Pikachu

This isn't the shiny Pikachu that most gamers want to have, but it IS a cool demonstration of how awesome my new metallic gel pens are. Shine on!

Meeting Doodles 1
