Notebook Doodles

Just a couple o' fun doodles from my Shakespeare notebook to prove I'm still alive.

Brownie points to whoever recognizes the play.

I've got a couple of blog post drafts going, but can't seem to get around to finishing them.

Midterms, y'all.

And papers.

  1. Henry IV Part 1 - From the play's beginning, Hotspur is a foil to Prince Hal. This is especially true in scenes where King Henry compares his son (unfavorably) to the noble young Percy. While Percy is praised for being the "theme of honour's tongue," Prince Hal is said to wear the "stain" of "dishonour" on his "brow," and Shakespeare goes out of his way to establish this sense of rivalry in the play.
